I graduated from Antioch University Seattle with a Masters in Psychology in 2008. I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington since 2010. I am also a certified therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Besides EMDR, other evidence based approaches I use are mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy and Gottman method of couples therapy.
In my work with my clients over the last decade, I am increasingly fascinated by the mind-brain-body connection that contributes to emotional and behavioral issues. I incorporate the latest research in neuroscience when I teach clients to master their emotional well-being.
I am also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
In addition to managing my own private practice, I have also supervised a team of licensed therapists at a nonprofit organization. Through online blogs and quarterly newsletters, I have written extensively on mental health issues.
I am committed to raising awareness of mental health issues in my community. Over the years, I have given workshops for mental health professionals, corporate employees, college students and members of the community. My continued work in the community continues to inform my clinical work and help me grow as a person. I feel deeply indebted to these experiences.
