The Process

Because you are a unique individual
who deserves to be heard.

Change can be scary. It helps to have someone in your corner rooting for you and be your partner in the change process. We will work together to clarify your present difficulties and desired outcomes. Through a thorough assessment, I will learn about your strengths, needs and resources. We will review the skills you already have and help you develop new skills to cope with stress and increase your emotional well-being. In addition, we will identify roadblocks that prevent you from moving forward, and continually build on small successes every step along the way.

In the course of our work together, you may discover that painful experiences from the past have kept you stuck in certain beliefs or patterns of behavior. While continuing to support you in practicing practical skills, I can help you process some of these memories. Deeper healing happens when new insights emerge that shed light on a person’s present day difficulties. This work often leads to a new perspective, perhaps even a new sense of meaning and purpose in life.

Whether you are looking for guidance through a particularly difficult time, or open to a real change in your life direction, I can help. Together, we can work to help you be the person you are meant to be.
